At the Lakeland Animal Shelter, we combine time and dedication with love and compassion while caring for about 3,500

animals annually. The reasons they walk through our doors often varies from wandering the streets with no home, to

being abused or neglected, or sometimes their human companions just “don’t have time”, “are moving” or have

“outgrown” their furry friends. Into our lives they then come awaiting their second chance at a new home and family.

In order to properly care for these animals we must raise funds primarily through private donations. For this reason we

have many fundraising events each year including our Whisker Walk that is coming up on Saturday, September 28th at the Lakeland Animal Shelter Adoption Center. Please help us care for the homeless animals of our community by supporting this event!
